LONDON — The 2008 Aston Martin DBS used in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace will be the highlight of an auction that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the spy movies.

Christie's estimates the special Aston Martin will fetch between $160,000 and $240,000. The auction house will be offering 40 different pieces of Bond memorabilia for sale, including a replica BMW Z8 roadster
featured in The World Is Not Enough. The swimming trunks worn by actor Daniel Craig in Casino Royale will also be up for auction, along with the silk wrap dress Halle Berry wore in Die Another Day.

The Aston Martin DBS was one of seven stunt cars to survive the action flick's filming, and was personally piloted by Craig in his role as James Bond.

"The Aston Martin DBS plays a dramatic role in the opening sequence of the film in which Bond skillfully navigates winding roads in a high-speed car chase in Italy," said Christie's in a statement.

The car comes in Quantum Silver with a black interior, and all the standard DBS features like a
510-horsepower 6.0-liter V12 engine, six-speed manual gearbox and carbon-fiber trim. It carried an original price tag of $265,000.

The auction takes place online between September 28 and October 8. Proceeds will benefit 12 different charities.

Edmunds says: One of the Aston Martins used in Quantum of Solace ended up in a lake. This one looks to be in great condition, however.
