Pontiac history
Pontiac is a car manufacturer founded in 1906, former Oakland from the General Motors group.
The name refers to a Pontiac Grand Chief of the Indian tribe Ottawa. Indeed, Pontiac is the name of a neighborhood of Detroit, hometown of the company. The cars of this mark are essentially adapted to North America where they are less widely each year. Its sporty image based on models like the Pontiac Grand Prix that runs in NASCAR championship. Pontiac is known for its cars at once elegant and athletic, begun by the opening of "muscle cars".
